We moved into our new home April  2012 after making the hard decision it was time to move on.
We viewed several Retirement Villages and were still undecided  then after visiting Horizons we knew this one was our future home.
We feel we have traded up not down and the fact you can choose your fittings, floor coverings etc makes the villa all the more personal, the rooms are of generous size with plenty of storage.
Don & I both agree  this is the best move we could have made, you can garden as desired, travel away knowing your home & garden are being cared for.

The Shopping Centre is a few minutes away as is the Golf & Bowling Clubs via lovely walk ways.

Gordon and all the staff made the transition of moving much easier and the Residents make you feel very welcome.

The best advice would be to come and see for yourself and I'm sure in time you will bring your pet (secure fencing) caravan & enjoy a new lease of life.
Now is the time.   Look forward to seeing you.

I moved into Horizons 5th December 2011 I have lived in Dubbo for over 20 years and decided due to my age,  I would make the move. Its great not having to do the lawns or worry about gardens and all the maintenance is done when it's needed.
The people here are all so freindly and I beleive it was a very good move on my part to move into Horizons.  I'm only a 5 minute walk from Woolworths and the Chemist with the Medical  Centre  hopefully opening up sometime soon, it makes for a convenient place to live.

We moved in about 5 months ago and both agree it was a great decision as we love everything about Horizons. We love the location being so close to the Delroy Shopping Centre which has everything we need including the Post Office and Chemist.

I like the fact that you're not right on top of your neighbours, so much so in fact that we were closer to our neighbours in our previous home. All the people at Horizons get along famously but we have our privacy if needed.

Our home is lovely and spacious and we have a great backyard which is good for our dog Lucy.

Pam and Fred Gleeson

We've been here 8 months and love the location. We really enjoy living here, it's peaceful and quiet and a relaxed style of living. All the management and staff are nice and friendly and very co-operative.

We are getting new residents all the time and the social life is really good with weekly BBQ get togethers. We can walk to the shops in 5 minutes and everything is there for us.

Our move to Horizons last September was definitely one of our best decisions. We are extremely happy with our home, it is open, spacious and private. The gardens and lawns are very well looked after, as are we with the management and staff always on hand if we need anything.

The social life here is great, we have our weekly happy hour and the monthly BBQ is exceptional.

Everyone here is very friendly, we were made very welcome, so settling into our new home was very easy.

The shopping centre is only a five minute walk and we have lovely walkways for our morning walks.

Our caravan is catered for and we have the luxury of knowing our home and garden will be looked after when we travel.

We can highly recommend this lifestyle, Don calls it paradise and I totally agree.

After having purchased a caravan to travel the vast regions of this great country, we decided to sell our home and relocate to Horizons Village. We moved to Horizons on 10th March 2012, and after settling in, left for a trip with the caravan that lasted six months.

The decision to move has turned out to be the best we have made. The villa is spacious and easy to maintain. We find the residents and staff friendly, and the staff are courteous and helpful if you have a problem.

There are numerous activities happening each week, with a monthly BBQ for the residents, bus trips and lunch at various locations.

Horizons is conveniently located within close walking distance to Delroy Shopping Centre which has a Woolworths, Bottle Shop, Chemist and Post Office.

We enjoy everything about living at Horizons Village.

John and Maree Weldon

In 2012 we came to have a look at Horizons display Villa, with no intention of moving and thought how nice it was. Then we had a talk to some of the residents and thought we might like to join them. It was the right decision.

We love the spacious villa, and our own private backyard. Our dog loves it too as it is a pet friendly environment.

We like the social aspect of Horizons, but if we wish to be on our own it is very private.

The men's shed is well on the way and the staff are so helpful and friendly and nothing is any trouble to them to keep everything running smoothly.

We feel we have made the best choice and are so happy and satisfied and looking forward to the future development, like the gym, heated pool and second community centre.

We thoroughly recommend it to the over 55's.

Don and Eunice

I have had the pleasure of living at Horizons over 55's Village since March 2012.

Living at Horizons gives me peace of mind knowing that I am free of the worry of maintaining a house and garden. There is a wide selection of Villas, suitable for couple or singles, to choose from.

The Village is set in beautiful surroundings and each Villa has its own front garden and fully fenced private back yard.

If you wish to participate the Village has a very active social calendar of events. Events, including Happy Hour, take place both at the Village and at venues in Dubbo and nearby surrounds.

The Management and Staff are professional, helpful and caring at all times.

May I suggest that if you are considering downsizing or looking for home, in a peaceful and worry free environment, that you come and inspect the Village and the new Display Villa which will be opening soon on weekends.

You won't be disappointed.

Moving to Horizons over 55's Village is, to put it quite simply, the best move we have ever made.

Our Villa is spacious, modern and very comfortable. Our private, securely fenced back  yard means that our little dog Kipper is safe at all times.

The amenities such as the Village Centre with all the mod cons and covered BBQ area, the Village bus which is utilized for outings and the Men's Shed where Warren is a keen wood turner is to die for.

We are anxiously awaiting the second Village Centre which will be commenced soon. It will feature a heated pool, gym, library, spacious get together areas and many other amenities.

The owners and staff just can't do enough for you. We feel very welcome.

I decided to move to Horizons as it seemed to be the right stage of my life journey to make a change for the better.

There are many aspects of living at Horizons that make it an ideal lifestyle for me. A positive is having people living around me, I am able to socialise as little or as often as I like. The Village also has a social calendar which includes BBQ's and bus outings every month.

The Village is close to the shops, Doctors and Pathology which allows me to walk or drive, whichever I feel like at the time.

Horizons is a pet friendly Village. My dog Tilly loves it here in her own backyard. She enjoys her daily walks along the walking tracks throughout Delroy Park.

The Village Staff are always available when needed for maintenance and support. Horizons allows me to have a feeling of being safe and secure.

The new Men's Shed is a great asset for all the males that live here. I also look forward to future developments such as the new Village Centre which includes an indoor heated pool, gym, library and computer room.

It just happened. One minute we decided to move, the next we were here at Horizons. That was 12 months ago and it's the best move we have made.

We fully enjoy our lifestyle change. The owners and staff are more than obliging to meet our needs. Whilst being here we have renewed some old friendships and have made some nice new friends.

We chose Horizons for its location and affordability. We just love our new Villa.
"No lawns to mow"      John
"Easy cleaning"              Sue

It is close to Doctors, Supermarkets and there are plenty of recreational areas.

Our four-legged granddaughter, lively Jack Russel Maude, who often visits loves it here as it is very pet friendly.

The Men's Shed is an asset and allows the guys "time out" for themselves. There is plenty of social outings to attend if you are inclined.

Looking forward to the new Community Centre.

Everyone is friendly and helpful which makes life very enjoyable.

Just glad we chose Horizons.

Making the decision to move to Horizons Village was not an easy one; I had lived in my home for 30 years and didn't think I would ever move again.

As I became older the gardening, lawn mowing and general home maintenance was starting to become a problem and I was depending on my family for help.

I didn't realise how much time and effort all of this took until after I moved into my beautiful new Villa at Horizons Village.

Now the Village gardeners mow the lawn and tend to the garden. Any maintenance problems the Village management arranges to have it repaired or replaced.

I have made a lot of wonderful new friends and am never lonely, going on outings and in-house activities, yet I still have the same privacy I had at my old home.

Horizons Village is pet friendly and I have "Millie Mills" my spoilt little dog living with me.

I am looking forward to the heated indoor swimming pool in the second Village Centre. Building is starting very soon.

Coming to live at Horizons Village has been a very smart move for me and I recommend the life style to everyone.
